3 Easy Ways to Add Cabinet Lighting

With the increasingly popular demand for LED lighting in the kitchen, we want to help you discover your options and create your dream. Think about how much easier cooking and cleaning would be if you had some lights in those dark spots under your cabinets. Or imagine the difference at night with cabinetry lighting instead of turning on the overhead every time. No kitchen renovation is complete without adding cabinet lighting, but you don’t have to do a full renovation to add it!

Here are 3 popular ways to add lighting:

  1. Puck Lights: Puck lights are easy to install and give single focused spots of light wherever they are placed. These are perfect for accent lighting in and under cabinets.

  2. LED Tape: LED Tape combines the efficiency of LED bulbs with flexibility. It allows for continuous illumination and features an adhesives backing for easy peel-and-stick installation. Tape lights are great for less-defined spaces like curves, but can be used anywhere. Tape lights also offer a more economical solution.

  3. Light Bars: Pencil thin but still packing a big punch, FineLIne is a low-profile design featuring Luniform technology that eliminates the dotted appearance and reduces unwanted glare within light emitting diode fixtures. FineLine is great for most applications, but is increasingly being used inside cabinets due to its thin profile.

All three main types of lights can liven up all the spaces in your home - kitchen cabinets, bookshelves, china cabinets, entertainment centers, floating shelves - that create shadows and really show off your other decorative elements. Don’t leave them in the dark!
